The Woodshed Acoustic Hour
If you are in downtown Oberlin on a Friday afternoon, you should make a point to stop by The Woodshed Studio, where you can listen to Kevin Jones' Acoustic hour from noon until 1pm. Bring your lunch, grab a drink, and head upstairs from Ben Franklin to enjoy this free moment of live music courtesy of your local music store.

Kevin Jones runs the Woodshed Studio located at 15 1/2 West College Street, above Ben Franklin. Here he shares his talent and love of music by offering private lessons in guitar, banjo, drums, keyboards, ukulele, and maybe more. Stop by and ask him. While you are there you can also peruse his musical supply store. Strings, capos, cables, instruments and many other musical accessories are in stock. If Kevin doesn't have it he'll order it for you.

Most of these tunes are off Kevin's CD Nobody's Father. You can read a great review of this album at Taxim Records. What About that Dream
Kevin also has a new album coming out shortly. It's titled Raising the Ebenezer, and was produced by Grammy Award winning producer/singer-songwriter John Jennings and will feature Mary Chapin Carpenter on two songs. This album will be distributed by Taxim Records.
Oberlin is very fortunate to have a person like Kevin contributing to the local music scene. Next time you are in town, walk slowly by Ben Franklin and take o moment to enjoy Kevin and his students practicing upstairs. And don't forget about his weekly Acoustic Hour at noon on Fridays.
